RETTmobil 2015 Report: All Are Very Satisfied!

10 Jun 2022

With all-around positive interim results this year, RETTmobil 2015 validated its global significance. All are happy on the second day of the 15th edition of the exhibition in Fulda: exhibitors, visitors and exhibition management. On Wednesday, the first day of the show, 8,250 trade show visitors were counted. In 2014 the number had been 8,745. According to exhibition management, this slight decrease is solely due to the German railways strike.

As Petra Dehler-Udolph and Dieter Udolph, Directors of Messe Fulda GmbH, responsible for planning, preparation and implementation of the international exhibition for rescue and mobility, explained, shuttle buses that commute from Fulda train station to the exhibition site every half hour, had been only half-full as opposed to last year.

8,250 visitors are a great result on the small anniversary of the industry event of international importance. About 470 companies from 20 countries of different continents present themselves on a total area of 70,000 square metres in 19 halls and a large outside area.

Yesterday morning the stream of visitors had grown by the minute. In the following hours, the flood of visitors to the center of rescue services had not stopped. This underlines the global importance of the exhibition and the confirms the estimation of Manfred Hommel. The Chairman of the Association of Manufacturers of Ambulances and Emergency Vehicles, which is the conceptual sponsor of the exhibition, said in his opening address: "This is beyond comparison".

Extremely satisfied are the exhibitors of RETTmobil as well. According to the organisation, the high quality of the exhibition, the interest of the competent trade visitors and the business response are consistently praised.

The success of the global forum for innovation, safety, quality and training is guaranteed by many high quality workshops and seminars that cover the entire range of Emergency Medicine. These events are very much in demand. The exhibition forum, which is organised by the Working Group of Firefighters in Rescue Service, is received with interest. Another attraction, again this year, is the author reading. On Thursday afternoon retired Chief Fireman, comedian and author Günter Nuth from Düsseldorf presented his two books: "Brandings and icebergs - Learning how to survive the ordinary desaster." and "Blue lights in the fire - What remains are pictures".

New developments in the rescue sector, in the words of Dieter Udolph, very vividly document the always amazing technical progress. One more attraction is the optimised offroad course, where mobility can be experienced first hand.

This is confirmed by Thomas Helmer, head of the fire department of Fulda, which deals with high-altitude rescue this year. In spite of the sometimes windy weather conditions, the presentations at a tower crane were met with great interest. On the offroad track the vehicle of the Fulda FD was constantly in use.

The 15th RETTmobil 2015 is open from 9AM until 5PM. More than 3,000 free parking spaces are available.
